The Journal of Semiconductors (previously Chinese Journal of Semiconductors), published jointly by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the Institute of Semiconductors, a branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, covers the latest achievements and developments in the field of semiconductors and related science and technology. It reports on the following topics:
*semiconductor superlattice, microstructure, surface and interface physics
*semiconductor material physics
*growth and characterization of novel semiconductor materials including quantum dots, quantum wires, nanowires, and 2-D materials
*semiconductor device physics
*novel semiconductor devices
*novel technology for semiconductor devices
*semiconductor optoelectronic devices and integration
*semiconductor film growth, characterization, and application
*CAD design and fabrication of integrated circuits
The Journal of Semiconductors distinguishes itself from academic journals of physics and electronics in its being an interdisciplinary academic journal involved with the fields of both physics and information.
The Journal of Semiconductors was started in 1980 and is now a monthly publication. Each issue contains about 190 pages. The journal is published publicly domestically and abroad, and the price for each issue is 45 RMB in China mainland. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Li Shushen, an academician of the CAS.
The Journal of Semiconductors has been published for the first time completely in English from 2009, and is currently indexed by ESCI, Scopus, CA, SA, AJ, etc.
