Abstract: The significance of the tunable lasers,the basic tunable method and theory are introduced and described.The factors which affect the tunable range of micro-electromechanical tunable vertical cavity surface emitting lasers are analyzed in details.The maximum range of air gap and the corresponding tunable range of wavelength are simulated.
