        Jianhua Zhao is a professor at the Institute of Semiconductors (IoS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Jilin University, in 1985 and 1988 respectively, and PhD degree from the Institute of Physics, CAS in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, she was a postdoc, first at IoS, CAS, and then at Tohoku University. In 2002, she became a professor at IoS, CAS. Her current interests include semiconductor spintronics, low-dimensional semiconductor physics

        Yongqing Li is a professor at the Institute of Physics (IoP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his B.S. degree from Tianjin University in 1992, and PhD degree from the Florida State University in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, he was a postdoc at the University of California at Santa Barbara. From 2005 to 2008, he was a visiting scientist at Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research. In 2008, he joined the IoP, CAS. His current interests include semiconductor spintronics, mesoscale and nanoscale physics

        Peng Xiong is a professor of physics at the Florida State University (FSU). He received his B.Sc. from University of Science and Technology of China in 1987, and Ph.D from Brown University in 1993. He then spent the next four years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California at San Diego. He joined the faculty of FSU in 1997, and became a full professor in 2007. His current research interest includes superconductivity in low-dimensional systems and heterostructures, semiconductor and molecular spintronics, correlated electron physics, and organic/solid-state hybrid nanostructures
