Design and Implementation of a High-Resolution Hybrid DPWM

Abstract: This paper presents a high-resolution hybrid digital pulse wide modulation (DPWM) design which can be used in DC-DC digital controllers.This design combines the designs based on an oscillator and a counter.The design of this paper has been taped out based on the process of Chartered 0.35μm 2P4M CMOS.The test results of the chip indicate that it can generate 4-phase output at the frequency of 950kHz while maintaining its 11bit resolution.Each phase has a phase difference of 90°.
